The Lumineers are a leading figure in the folk scene due to their simplistic music style that blends rock and Americana with folk. Founded by Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites, the band has produced many highly acclaimed songs starting with their debut single, "Ho Hey," in 2011. Following this ensured success, they released their debut self-titled album in 2012. This was followed by "Cleopatra," which was an even bigger hit for them, topping the UK Albums chart and Billboard 200. Their third and fourth albums, "III" and "Brightside," were kept with the previous releases and have received favorable reviews.
James Bay specializes in bluesy folk music, which he delicately combines with his mellow, raspy voice. His success came with the release of his songs "Hold Back the River" and "Let It Go" in 2014. Both topped the UK charts. The songs were precursors to the album "Chaos and the Calm," which led to him winning the "Critics' Choice" at the Brit Awards in 2015. He released his second album, "Electric Light," in 2018. This was followed by his 2022 album "Leap."
