The duo from New Orleans emerged in 2013. Ruby Da Cherry and Scrim began creating tracks in their home studio. The lyricis explores dark themes like suicide and substance abuse. Meanwhile, their sound demonstrates abrasive shock rap, mixed with rap, emo, and cloud trap. Suicideboys’ series of self released EPs put them on the underground hip-hop map. In 2018, they released their debut album I Want To Die in New Orleans and the album broke into the Billboard 200, peaking at number 8. Their subsequent albums also found staggering success with their third album, Sing Me a Lullaby, My Sweet Tempation earning platinum certification in the US.
