Neil Young & Promise of the Real at Pine Knob Music Theatre

The legendary folk singer, Neil Young is coming to DTE Energy Music Theatre on Tuesday 14th July 2015! Here on his collaborative tour with Promise of the Real – a rock group consisting of Willie Nelson's sons Lukas and Micah. Both will be here to promote their new co-written, "The Monsanto Years", a politically and environmentally charged album, due to be released later this year. Neil Young is arguably one of the most influential singer-songwriters of all time. With an impressive long-lasting career of over 45 years! He is known best for the distinctive guitar and harmonica combination which is visible on the iconic song "Heart Of Gold." Neil Young's music takes you back to a warm nostalgic place, where the birds are singing, the sun is shining as you are driving through the countryside. His lyrics are poetical, simple yet intricately complex, they draw you in and make you want to know more. Neil Young stays true to his folk and country roots, with hints of good ol' rock and roll and grunge. His most famous album, Harvest (1972), idolized the laid-back guitar based singer, songwriter genre that he helped to invent.
