This upcoming show featuring Garbage and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds is more than just a nostalgic trip. Even though Garbage and Noel Gallagher rose to prominence during the ‘90s, they remained in their prime for several years to come. Garbage recently dropped their latest critically-acclaimed record, No Gods No Masters. The record entered the Billboard 200 and performed phenomenally on three other Billboard charts. Meanwhile, outside the U.S., the album was also a stellar success after entering the charts in 14 different countries.
Moreover, the band dropped their compilation effort, Anthology, last year. The greatest hits album features 35 remastered tracks. The album was unavailable digitally and physically in North America due to music rights issues, but it performed remarkably well on the U.K. chart, peaking at number 8 on the Independent Albums chart.
Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds also has a recently released compilation album. Back the Way We Came: Vol. 1 (2011-2021) is a collection of the band’s biggest hits from the first three albums and three EPs. The songs were personally curated by band leader Noel Gallagher, whose first claim to fame was being the brains behind the UK’s fifth best-selling band of all time, Oasis. The compilation album topped U.K.’s mainstream and independent charts and also entered the charts in 14 other countries. The album was preceded by Gallagher’s latest studio effort, Who Built the Moon?, which also topped the U.K. charts.
