Pine Knob Music Theatre

Puscifer, Primus, and A Perfect Circle are building up to a concert explosion on Thursday, May 2, LIVE at the Pine Knob Music Theatre in honor of Maynard Keenan’s 60th Birthday! The GRAMMY Award-winning lead vocalist of Tool spawned two other iconic rock groups during his main tenure, both headbanging achievers in the weekly Billboard 200. Puscifer originated as a solo project before becoming a full-fledged band that recorded eclectic classics “The Humbling River” and “Conditions of My Parole.” A Perfect Circle, on the other hand, is a California Music Award winner recognized for Billboard Alternative Airplay chart-climbers such as “Passive” and “The Outsider.” And finally, we have Les Claypool’s Primus, the GRAMMY Award-nominated funk-metal band behind the multi-platinum album Sailing the Seas of Cheese. Keenan’s nationwide “Sessanta” tour has recently extended its schedule to include eight additional dates, which include a show at the scenic outdoors of the Pine Knob Music Theatre. This 2024, the GRAMMY Award-winning frontman of Tool is sending out invitations to yet another career milestone that’ll rock you out of your skin! Sessanta: A 60th Birthday Celebration for Maynard James Keenan featuring Puscifer, Primus, and A Perfect Circle adds eight new shows to its North American route. Its May 2 exhibition will land at the Pine Knob Music Theatre—a well-equipped outdoor entertainment venue showcasing picturesque views of the Michigan countryside and cutting-edge concert technology!

“What a glorious notion of combining three bands that all start with the letter ‘P’ for a tribute to Maynard Keenan's 60th trip around the sun. I've known Maynard for more than three decades and I have to say, I've yet to meet a more creative, ambitious, and industrious human being,” Primus lead vocalist Les Claypool remarks in an official statement.

During its earlier days, Puscifer was a Maynard Keenan solo project intended for the singer’s “creative subconscious.” Frequent collaborators Carina Round and Mat Mitchell would later join, officially credited as permanent members in the fourth studio album, Existential Reckoning. Puscifer consistently charts high in the weekly Billboard 200, starting from its “V” Is for Vagina debut, and has released stone-cold classics such as “Conditions of My Parole,” “The Remedy,” and “The Humbling River.”

A Perfect Circle, meanwhile, is the California Music Award-winning supergroup Keenan co-founded with veteran guitarist Billy Howerdel. Mer de Noms, their first album, launched in 2000 with the critically acclaimed lead singles “Judith,” “3 Libras,” and “The Hollow.” Follow-up albums Thirteenth Step, Emotive, and Eat the Elephant debuted within the Billboard 200’s top 3 and featured Alternative Airplay smash hits like “Passive” and “The Outsider.”

Completing the tour’s triple threat is Primus, the 3x GRAMMY-nominated funk-metal band fronted by bassist icon Les Claypool. Renowned for their progressive style, the band produced several platinum albums, including Sailing the Seas of Cheese and Pork Soda. Some of their most-played hits include chart-busting singles such as “My Name is Mud,” “Jerry Was a Race Car Driver,” and the Ozzy Osbourned-backed “N.I.B.”

Puscifer, Primus, and A Perfect Circle will appear simultaneously on stage, playing off each other’s sets on Thursday, May 2, for their “Sessanta” tour’s stop at the Pine Knob Music Theatre. Celebrate Maynard Keenan’s 60th Birthday concert with us - buy your tickets now!
